After nearly two months of intense competition, the 3rd Anhui Story Sharing Contest for Foreigners successfully concluded on November 10 at Anhui TV Station. International students from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) achieved outstanding results, captivating the judges and audience with their heartfelt stories, engaging performances, and diverse perspectives. Ravanov Eldar from Azerbaijan won the Second Prize, while Sahaza Delis Rakotondrasoa from Madagascar and Nasya Khosasi from Indonesia received the Third Prize.

The contest was themed “Meet Anhui, Tell Anhui, Share Anhui.” It aims to showcase Anhui’s openness, inclusiveness, and cultural depth through the voices and perspectives of international friends.

Since its launch in September 2025, the contest has attracted 129 participants from 42 countries. During the semi-final stage, contestants engaged in immersive cultural experiences—visiting Anhui Conch Group to explore green and intelligent manufacturing, and touring the Lingjiatan Archaeological Site in Ma’anshan to appreciate the province’s profound historical heritage.

In the contest, USTC international students received high praise from the judges for their fluent Chinese, sincere expression, and deep cultural insight: Eldar shared his personal journey of pursuing dreams in Anhui through his story “Starting from Huangshan.” Delis used his camera to capture “Scientific Encounters,” moments where science and art intertwine. Nasya vividly portrayed “The Touching Charm of Anhui” from her heartfelt perspective. Their stories not only conveyed their genuine affection for Anhui but also reflected the achievements of USTC’s international education and cross-cultural communication initiatives.

As the contest concludes, the storytelling journey continues. USTC international students will keep serving as cultural ambassadors, building bridges of understanding through language and friendship through action. They will continue to share with the world a real, multidimensional, and vibrant Anhui, where science and culture shine brilliantly on the global stage.
