USTC offers 96 master's programs and 98 doctoral programs in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering Science, Electronic Information, Computer Science, Earth and Space Sciences, Environmental Science, etc. Among these, nearly all the doctoral programs can be taught in English and some master's programs can be taught in English. By completing the required credits, finishing the thesis / dissertation, and passing the thesis/dissertation defense, students will obtain the graduation certificate, and master's/doctoral degree after fulfilling the degree requirement. Generally in USTC, students pursuing master's degree may need 2-3 years, while doctoral students need 3-4 years to finish their degree requirements.
