I. Introduction
International college offers long term Chinese language training program for international students who have interest in Chinese language and intend to enhance Chinese proficiency rapidly.

III. Duration
● 1 semester / 1 year
● The autumn semester usually runs from September to next January, the spring
semester from February to June.
IV. Application Period
fall semester: Mar.1 — June 9
spring semester: Sept.1 — Nov.30
Note:
If you intend to study at USTC from this fall semester , you are supposed to apply within March 1st to June 9th .
If you intend to study at USTC from next spring semester, you are supposed to apply within September 1st to November 30th.
V. Transcript and Certificate
Upon completion of the courses, students who meet the assessment requirements will be issued with a transcript and a certificate. Students who are absent for more than a quarter of the total classes will not get the certificate.
VI. Fees and Payment
Tuition (textbooks included）: 6,500RMB (≈944USD) per semester; 13,000RMB (≈1888USD) per academic year
Insurance: 400RMB (≈58USD) per semester; 800 RMB(≈116USD) per academic year
Payment: After the admission is confirmed, we will inform the admitted applicants to pay tuition fee through online payment, and then mail them the admission materials when we receive the tuition fee. Students need to purchase medical insurance online before coming to China..
Refund: Tuition fee is non-refundable after we send the admission materials.

X. Visa, Insurance, Food and Accommodation
1. Visa
The admitted students should submit the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the admission notice to the Chinese Embassy or consulate to apply for a Chinese Student Visa. Students must enter the country with a Student Visa and ensure that the Visa is valid during their stay in China.
2. Insurance
International students are required to purchase insurance in accordance with state regulations and school policies. Students pay the insurance fee, and USTC is responsible for purchasing the insurance.
3. Food
Students can use the student card in the campus canteen, as well as gym.
4. Accommodation
We do not offer on-campus accommodation, students need to find off-campus accommodation on their own. We will provide assistance to students to find housing. International students who live off campus shall register with the local police station in time. Full address and telephone number of the residence must be submitted at the time of registration.

Short Term Chinese language training program is designed for the international students who want to learn Chinese language and experience Chinese culture at one of China’s top universities in summer.
II. Courses & Activities
Courses：
● Beginning / Intermediate Comprehensive Chinese
● Cultural lectures on Chinese history, contemporary China and the society,
experience classes of Chinese calligraphy, painting, paper-cutting, Chinese
medicine, and Tai-Chi.
Activities:
You will join field trips to historical sites, cultural attractions, famous enterprises, etc.
III. Duration
● Summer semester 4 weeks
● Summer semester usually begins from the end of June.
IV. Application Period
Submit application online with completed and required materials from March 1st to April 15th.
V. Transcript and Certificate
Upon completion of the courses, students who meet the assessment requirements will be issued with a transcript and a certificate. Students who are absent for more than a quarter of the total classes will not get the certificate.

Payment: After the admission is confirmed, we will inform the admitted applicants to pay the pre-registration fee of 1,000 RMB (≈156USD) through online payment, and send them the admission materials. Students should pay the remaining fees in RMB cash or by card when they arrive at the school on the day of registration.
Refund: The pre-registration fee is non-refundable. After registration, all fees are non-refundable.
