“Our door is always open, embracing the world with a smile.

Youth blooms in the sunlight, waiting for this very day.

The world is wide, and friends are everywhere—

With warmth and laughter, we welcome you.”

Seventeen years ago, “Beijing Welcomes You” resonated across China, planting deep in people’s hearts the belief that the earth is one global village. We firmly trusted that culture could transcend mountains and oceans, and friendship could light up the world—a pure and unshakable longing for openness and connection.

As seventeen years pass, that ideal of a “global village” remains unchanged. Here at the USTC campus, our passion to embrace the world stays burning bright, never fading. Because we believe—whenever young hearts are willing to listen and understand, whenever a sincere “Hello” crosses the boundary of language, the global village quietly reappears in every encounter.

A Global Journey of Taste, Touch, and Tune

You don’t need to travel far to explore the world— at USTC, every corner hides a surprise:

Taste the World – desserts, snacks, and drinks from around the globe… every bite carries a story of home.

Touch the Culture – Ghanaian wood carvings, Ethiopian coffee making, and handcrafts from around the globe.

Feel the Rhythm – African beats, Chinese opera, Bollywood dances, pop melodies—different languages, one shared rhythm.

Each dish is a passport; each performance is a connection.

This is what the festival stands for— to let cultural diversity become our shared melody.
