USTC offers 91 master's programs and 97 doctoral programs in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Geophysics, Environmental Science and Engineering, etc. Among these, nearly all the doctoral programs can be taught in English and some master's programs can be taught in English. By completing the required credits, finishing the thesis / dissertation, and passing the thesis/dissertation defense, students will obtain the graduation certificate, and master's/doctoral degree after fulfilling the degree requirement. Generally in USTC, students pursuing master's degree may need 2-3 years, while doctoral students need 3-4 years to finish their degree requirements.
