After having successfully completed your academic journey at USTC, please follow the USTC Leaving Procedures before saying goodbye. Let your campus life end with wonderful memory.

Step 1: Pass your thesis defense. Submit required materials for degree application to your department and school

Step 2: Inform International Students Office that you have passed the thesis defense and submit one original certificate photo (2-inch, color) and its soft copy to ISO. Receive the USTC Leaving Procedures Form from ISO

Step 3: Check the English translation of your graduation certificate

Step 4: Make sure that you have returned all books borrowed from the library, cancelled your campus card, settled any accounts concerning accommodation and completed any other procedures required according to University regulations

Step 5: Submit the photocopies of your degree certificate (both English and Chinese version) and transcript (both English and Chinese version) to receive your graduation certificate.

A student who terminates his/her study at University of Science and Technology of China is required to cancel Residence Permit before leaving USTC, and (if necessary) to apply for a Stay Permit (valid for a maximum of 30 days).
