I. Introduction

University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) Summer Camp offers international students an elite education and an inspiring learning experience at our beautiful campus. Students will be taught by outstanding academics, and have the opportunity to immerse themselves into the rich Chinese culture.

● Summer semester 2 weeks

● Summer semester usually begins from the end of June.

IV. Application Period

Submit application online with completed and required materials from March 1st to April 15th every year.

V. Transcript and Certificate

Upon completion of the courses, students who meet the assessment requirements will be issued with a transcript and a certificate. Students who are absent for more than a quarter of the total classes will not get the certificate.

VI. Fees and Payment

Note: Outstanding applicants have an opportunity to be waived partial fees or full fees   depending on their academic background and performance.

Payment: After the admission is confirmed, we will inform the admitted applicants to pay the pre-registration fee of 500 RMB(≈78USD) through online payment, and send them the admission materials. Students should pay the remaining fees in RMB cash or by card when they arrive at the school on the day of registration.

Refund: The pre-registration fee is non-refundable. After registration, all fees are non-refundable.

VII. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport

2. Undergraduate student or master student

3. In good mental and physical health

4. Good command of English

IX. Visa, Insurance, Food and Accommodation

1. Visa

The admitted students should submit the Visa Application Form (JW202) and the admission notice to the Chinese Embassy or consulate to apply for a Chinese Student Visa. Students must enter the country with a Student Visa and ensure that the Visa is valid during their stay in China.

2. Insurance

International students are required to purchase insurance in accordance with state regulations and school policies. Students pay the insurance fee, and USTC is responsible for purchasing the insurance.

3. Food

Students can use the student card in the campus canteen, as well as library and gym.

4. Accommodation

Student dormitories on campus are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. If on-campus accommodation is full, students are required to find off-campus accommodation on their own. The accommodation fee will be deducted from the total fee. International students who live off campus shall register with the local police station in time. Full address and telephone number of the residence must be submitted at the time of registration.
