The 2022 USTC sports gala is coming, which will be held from Oct 28 (Friday) to Oct 29 (Saturday). According to the teaching arrangement, all the classes will be canceled during these two days. Warmly welcome you to sign up for the sports gala and have fun at the event.

The application deadline for the 2022 USTC sports gala is 18:00 Beijing Time on October 7, 2022. If you are interested in the sports gala, please submit your registration before the due time. For track & field events, one student can apply for a maximum of 2 events (except group events and relays). For each event, a maximum of 4 students will be able to join. International College will select the first four athletes for some popular events and arrange rehearsal for the opening parade.

The prize of this year's sports gala:

1st in final: 200RMB

2nd in final: 180RMB

3rd in final: 170RMB

4th in final: 150RMB

5th in final: 140RMB

6th in final: 130RMB

7th in final: 110RMB

8th in final: 100RMB

Prizes will be given to the winner's campus card by the PE department of USTC.

This year there is a new rule about Sports Gala. If an athlete gives up without informing the PE department in advance, the final score of his/her team will be affected. Therefore, if you are registered as our athlete and opening volunteer, please come on time! We are joining the sports gala as a TEAM, not as an individual. Whether you win the prizes or not is not very important, we value your spirit of punctuality commitment, and teamwork the most.

Due to the pandemic control policy, USTC Physical Education Department has set limitations on the number of students for each college to join in the opening parade. Therefore, when selecting students for the opening parade, we will give priority to the athletes who will take part in at least one sports event during the gala.
